All application fees for Board Certification and Specialty Designations are intended to support the administrative review process, credential evaluation, and examination management.
Incomplete ApplicationsIf an application is submitted incomplete, as determined by IAHAP administrative staff, the applicant will be contacted with a detailed list of required documentation or criteria needed to complete the application. Applicants will have seven (7) calendar days from the date of notification to submit the requested information.
If the applicant does not respond or fails to provide the required materials within this seven-day period, the application will be considered forfeited. In such cases, the applicant will be eligible for a 50% refund of the original application fee. The remaining portion of the fee will be retained to cover administrative and review costs.
Board Examination AttemptsApplicants are permitted a maximum of three (3) consecutive attempts to successfully pass the Board Certification examination. If an applicant fails the board examination three times in a row, the application will be deemed null and void, and the applicant will not be awarded full Board Certification under that application.
In the event of three unsuccessful examination attempts:
The original application fee is non-refundable
The application process will be closed
The original application fee will be donated to support IAHAP educational initiatives
Applicants who wish to reapply after this point may do so at a later date and will be offered a 50% discount on the new application fee as a courtesy. This discount applies only to the new application and does not reinstate or refund the original application.
