The academy is open to the public and holds CPD and Certification Pathways for all levels.

Staying Current with Evolving Practices

Holistic therapies, like other healthcare fields, are constantly evolving with new research, techniques, and methodologies. Continued education ensures practitioners stay updated with the latest advancements and evidence-based practices.

Improving Animal Welfare

Continued education allows practitioners to better address complex health issues, adapt to individual animal needs, and integrate holistic therapies with traditional veterinary care. This results in more comprehensive, customized, and humane treatments.

Promoting Client Confidence

Pet owners are more likely to trust practitioners who demonstrate a commitment to learning and improving their services, which strengthens professional relationships.

Enhancing Skills and Knowledge

Regular learning opportunities help deepen understanding and refine skills, enabling practitioners to provide more effective and diverse treatment options. This might include new modalities like herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage techniques, or energy therapies.

Understanding Regulatory and Ethical Standards

Laws and regulations surrounding animal care and holistic therapies can change. Staying informed through continued education ensures compliance with current legal and ethical standards.

Building a Supportive Network

Continuing education can involve courses, workshops, seminars, and conferences, which provide opportunities to connect with other professionals, share knowledge, and learn from peers.

Maintaining Certification and Credibility

Staying certified enhances professional credibility and builds trust with clients.

IAHAP Regular practitioners must uphold 4 hours of CPD yearly

IAHAP Board Certified Members must uphold 10 hours of CPD yearly.

IAHAP Specialty certified practitioners must uphold 8 hours of CPD yearly with an additional 3 case studies yearly

Expanding Career Opportunities

New skills and certifications can open doors to advanced roles, collaborations with veterinary professionals, or opportunities to teach others.

By embracing lifelong learning, practitioners in animal holistic therapies can ensure they provide the highest standard of care while contributing positively to the well-being of animals.

At IAHAP, we are committed to upholding a standard of excellence for Holistic Practitioners. To maintain membership, all practitioners are required to participate in ongoing education. Specifically, every registered practitioner supported by IAHAP must complete 4 Continuing Education (CE) credits annually, with 2 CE credits provided at no additional cost as part of your membership.

Moreover, to retain your Specialty designation or Board Certified title, practitioners are expected to secure additional CPD credits each year. Again, IAHAP generously offers 4 CPD credits free of charge to assist you in achieving this goal. We believe that continuous learning is vital for personal and professional growth, and we are dedicated to supporting our members in their educational journey.

Members who do not partake in continued education and case studies when applicable have their certifications revoked.
